  2. Hello from Canada. I came to your blog via Natalie's blog. Is your first name Xue or Yingying? Your hair seems to be strong. Did you try a shorter hair style? Are you in Kunming, or in a smaller city?

  3. Thanks, Yingying. Usually in China the last name comes first, so I was not sure what's your first name. My novel starts in the province of Sichuan, close to Yunnan. I also have a few pages about River Li and Guilin from the province of Guangxi. I live in Toronto, the biggest city in Canada. We have about 500,000 Chinese people here, so you will feel at home. What do you study?
About your hair ... You have a long face, so I think that long hair makes it longer. So maybe a shortr hair is better, but you know best ..:).
You can response here, not in my blog. I will come and read it.

    2. It's nice that you replied also in my blog, but no need to reply twice everytime. I am not a profssional writer, but I wrote only one China-America novel and hopefully it will be pulished. Most of the story is n China, mainly in Sichuna, Shanghai and Beijing .. and the rest in the United States, mainly in New York city. Your hair is prety, whatever style you do it.

  4. I think It depends on your height. When you are taller than 170cm, I will recommend long hair. If not, short hair would be better, which is just my guess from your picture. These days in S. Korea, parents are expecting at least 170 cm for daughter and at least 185 cm for son.

More and more Chinese are visiting Korea every year and they commonly say if they stay in Korea several months, their skin color becomes better and moisturized. The Chinese say water and air of Korea is affecting their skin.

    2. I am not an expert about hair, but some websites say that the hair style should fit the shape of the head, not necessarily the height. I like South Korea, especially the Tv Drama "Glory Jane" and the song by Hyorin from that show. Interesting information that skin becomes better in Korea.

  5. Hello, Giora.
I want to recommend you to watch K-Drama "Secret Garden". I think you will like it. Do you know Hyorin is a member of Sistar, which is a female singing group? Sistar had a nice performance in "Music Bank in Paris" last month.

You are writing a novel now. I want to let you an interesting story. Jean-Marie Gustave Le Clézio (2008 Nobel prize winner in literature) and Orhan Pamuk (2006 Nobel prize winner in literature) had a close relationship with Korea. Le Clezio was an exchange professor in Seoul Korea when he was announced as a Nobel winner. Le Clezio often comes to Korea to spend several months for inspirations. Orhan Pamuk was introduced to the world outside Turkey first by a female Korean translator, who read his books while she was studying in Turkey, and his books became popular in Korea first and later introduced to other countries.
