As you know, many Chinese people like to leave their shoes outside the house. When I was teaching in Hunan in 1997, for April Fool Day, some students went to the teachers’ housing area early in the morning and took away all the shoes. They then lined all the shoes up on the basketball court, but the pairs were all mixed up.
ReplyDeleteWhen the teachers got ready for class, they couldn’t find their shoes anywhere. They all had to go to the basketball court in their slippers to look for their shoes.
It was the funniest thing I have ever seen!
